Jerod helps founders, small-business owners, and operators use AI to improve their workflows, reduce operational friction, and make necessary work easier to manage. The focus is consultative and grounded: find the repetitive, admin-heavy, coordination-heavy work that slows teams down, then apply AI in ways that support people, improve consistency, and create better follow-through.
That conviction comes from two decades working in and around construction, real estate, and lending — where execution depends on clear communication, reliable documentation, timely decisions, and disciplined follow-through. Construction teaches you quickly that most problems aren’t caused by a lack of effort. They come from unclear processes, missed handoffs, incomplete information, and systems that make it harder for good people to do good work. That realization is the idea behind Waypoint Advisors.
So he starts with the workflow — where friction shows up, where information gets stuck, and which repeated tasks drain time without adding much value: internal processes, documentation, handoffs, summaries, status updates, knowledge retrieval. The goal is never a massive transformation or replacing the human judgment good businesses still depend on. It’s AI that makes work lighter, decisions clearer, and systems more usable — so people have more room for the work that matters.
He brings real operating credibility to it. A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) with cumulative project and portfolio exposure exceeding $3 billion, Jerod has served as Director of Construction for a national construction lender and now leads CCD Advisors — guiding lenders and capital partners through origination, active construction, and periods of project stress.
He also builds AI products of his own, including Comply.Capital, a construction draw-management platform for lenders and developers, and Surfmore, an AI surf planner on the App Store.
